Diabetic Diet
Making healthy food choices can help you to lose weight and lower your risk for heart disease, stoke and other problems caused by diabetes. A easy way to ensure a healthy balanced diet is to know how to create a healthy plate.
Fill one half of your plate with vegtables such as broccoli, greens, salad or carrots.
Fill one quarter with lean protein such as fish, skinless poultry, lean beef or beans.
Fill the other quarter with carbohydrates such as rice, potatoes, corn or whole wheat breads.
